As we go into the holiday weekend, it is important to remember not to let your guard down regarding COVID-19. It isn’t going away and in areas of low vaccination rates across the US and internationally, the delta variant is actually on the rise!
As we go into the holiday weekend, it is important to remember not to let your guard down regarding COVID-19. It isn’t going away and in areas of low vaccination rates across the US and internationally, the delta variant is actually on the rise! The delta variant is already comprising of 20% of recent cases across the United States and rising. The COVID vaccine has been shown to be nearly 100% effective in preventing serious disease or death!
As California moves to fully open, I’d still encourage everyone to consider wearing a mask to err on the side of caution in highly dense public places and healthcare facilities. COVID cases in California are at an all-time low and light is at the end of the tunnel! However, there is recent news that high-risk, fully vaccinated patients have still passed away from COVID-19.
Be sure to stay hydrated and wear sun screen! Have a safe and amazing July 4th!!!
