Chronic Inflammation & Autoimmune Conditions

About This Condition

Chronic low-grade inflammation underlies virtually every major chronic disease — cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, neurodegeneration, and autoimmunity. Autoimmune conditions (Hashimoto's thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease) represent a state in which the immune system has lost tolerance to self-tissue, driven by a combination of genetic predisposition, gut barrier dysfunction ("leaky gut"), microbiome dysbiosis, environmental triggers, and chronic psychological or physiologic stress. Conventional medicine manages autoimmunity with immunosuppression — necessary in severe cases, but not curative and not aimed at removing the drivers of immune dysregulation.

Our Approach

Our inflammatory workup goes beyond ESR and CRP to include high-sensitivity CRP (hsCRP), homocysteine, ferritin (as an inflammatory marker), uric acid, and in appropriate contexts, advanced immune panels. For autoimmune conditions, we assess gut barrier integrity (zonulin, calprotectin), food sensitivity panels (IgG/IgA), and test for relevant environmental triggers (heavy metals, mold/mycotoxin exposure). Our anti-inflammatory protocol is layered: structured elimination diet (with systematic reintroduction), omega-3 optimization with tissue-level tracking (Omega-3 Index), targeted probiotic and prebiotic support, vitamin D optimization (25-OH D targeting 50–70 ng/mL), and stress physiology work. We collaborate with rheumatology and other specialists when needed but maintain your metabolic and inflammatory trajectory in parallel.
